Membership Types
The Association currently provides four levels of membership (none of which are aimed at the general practitioner level):
Provisional Membership - an instructor (or dojo) who has expressed an interest in the Association, and whose statements and public materials align with the goals of the association, but who has not been through any rigorous membership process.
Associate Membership - an instructor (or dojo), known to the association to be a genuine martial artist and being of good character, having access to the resource sharing and networking functions of the organisation. Associate members may not have had their syllabus thoroughly vetted by the organisation.
Accredited Membership - an instructor (or dojo), known to the association to be a genuine martial artist and being of good character, who has had their training history and syllabus thoroughly vetted by the organisation.
Regulated Membership - an instructor (or dojo), known to the association to be a genuine martial artist and being of good character, and having been accredited, who has transferred the onus of certain political functions to the association, who ensure strict compliance for quality control.
It should be noted that the Association does not charge any fees for membership or any other purpose - the sole goal of the Association's Officers is to support legitimate, practical martial arts - neither the Association nor it's Officers receives any financial benefit form any service offered or assistance rendered.
